Music that makes you irrationally angry

Know of a great band you think we'd like to hear about? Got some music news? Or just want to talk about music in general? Post it here.

When you think about it, the Homecoming Shows are like Gathering of the Juggalos with slightly less clown makeup.

there are many exceptions, but generally speaking, i'm not a big cover lover.

doug sahm/bottle rox lp is worthy. the gram parsons/grievous angel tribute album was also top notch.....but as a concept, tribute lp's sound forced and not of the moment.

Lana Del Rey. My morning employee plays her stuff when he snakes the stereo away from me. She makes me wish I had two screwdrivers to puncture my eardrums. I mean, I would almost give up hearing anymore to make it stop. I'm not a fan of 95% of female vocalists. I like gruff, soulful female singers like Brittany Howard, Betty LaVette and Cary Ann Hearst, and Lana Del Rey is about as far from my comfort zone as it gets.

The gathering of the juggalos happens every summer about 20 miles from my house and its the biggest parade of douchebags and degenerates you've ever seen. I've never been to the Athens homecoming, but I imagine that its the embodiment of class and stylish sophistication.

I'm racking my brain to find an exception, and every time I think I've found one, it turns out they use the word "and" instead of "featuring".

Beebs wins.

Yes it is. I don't have many Roots albums, but they're without a doubt one of the most entertaining bands I've ever seen live.

Caught St. Paul and Broken Bones on some ACL Americana thing that's been sitting on my DVR forever and spent the whole performance with a look on my face not unlike the dude 2nd from right in this picture, only slightly more annoyed.

Haven't gotten into them either. Sort of reminds me of the fervor surrounding Alabama Shakes when they were new.

Lots of music makes me inexplicably, irrationally angry. But, the thing that pisses me off the most is when singers like Mariah Carey, Mary J. Blige, etc., point their finger up in the air and wave it around as they hit various notes. That sends me right over the edge. Every time.
I keep it all together for the sake of the kids.

Ehh. Now I'm all ragey.

They really have to be seen to be appreciated. Someday that singer may have something of his own to say. In the meantime, they're a hell of a good dance band.

Is anger at disco rational or irrational?

Maybe a bit of both. The cure is listening to Marty Stuart covering Staying Alive.

Listening to the music - not annoyed. Watching a video - angry. Very angry.

I really have nothing against the music of the Lumineers but I hate this guy so, so, so much:

You've left out the stabbiest part: the dude in doc martens playing a washboard. Then again my hatred of those idiots got me a job so I can't be too resentful.
