FIrst you have to figure out which Neil you're in the mood for. He's such a changeling. Bowie was like that, too. For Neil, it's hard to go wrong with Crazy Horse.

Neil isn't one artist. He's at least three (Crazy Horse, acoustic Neil, eclectic Neil) and maybe more, depending on how you want to dice it. For me, while I'm glad to have had my phases with some of his flight of fancy (Trans or The Shocking Pinks, anyone?), if I'm in a NY mood, it's either the acoustic singer-songwriter stuff or Crazy Horse cranked to 11. They are NOT the same mood.

My favorite Cure record (not by much over Kiss Me X 3) & indeed 1 my favorites by anyone. Can't wait for the show Thursday.
