Been on a pretty steady diet of Upper Midwest country since harvest started
This is a fairly stunning album in spots. It's a love letter to the northern plains. Leigh grew up on the Minnesota/North Dakota border, which is an extremely similar place to where I grew up on the Iowa/Minnesota border. It's just colder and has Norwegians instead of Germans. A lot of these songs really hit me in the gut, describing scenes and places that seem right out of my memory.
This album is so much damn fun. I've seen these guys a few times tearing down dive bars in La Crosse, WI. Easily one of the best bar bands I've ever seen, and the album is actually pretty damn good. Clams and BK will dig for sure.

Jerry Joseph and the Stiff Boys Live at the 40 Watt
Same. Just read an article about the new album and learned she divorced and has a cat named Catterson Hood.

I haven't listened yet, but last night's live stream was pretty good.
Certainly more R&R than Real.

I know nothing about this band, but saw it pop up on in Spotify's new releases section and noticed that Isbell is featured on a track. It's an interesting mix of rock, soul, a little 80's sound in there, nice harmonies

Have not heard the new record, but they are great fun live.

Saw them play to 25 people 3-4 years ago. Blew the roof off. They've been cleaned up and repackaged. Perfect for the current Isbell audience. He took them out on tour. Pretty nice record
Crazy how far she's come from her original sound. It's like she's a different person (I'm thinking that's the point)
I really like it. Feels like a natural progression from Real. Definitely more pop than anything she's done but her voice sounds great. And my vinyl arrived today just in time. The artwork and layout are amazing. Plus how cool is a hand typed lyric sheet?
