Re: What's Everyone Listening to?
I saw these guys opening for the Who a few years ago. It was unfortunate because no one at a Who show is there to see a non-classic-rock opener so the audience was pretty non-receptive. They were troopers and still gave a hell of a show even though the audience of 60 year old dentists paid them no mind. I really dig their sound. Sort of James Brown meets ZZ Top.

Re: What's Everyone Listening to?
After today I have to pack up my nice desktop sound system and work from the kitchen table the rest of the week (getting ready to move next week) so I'm going to take advantage of that and listen to some great music in between calls today.

I like it, but is Isbell gonna call him out on Twitter for ripping off "Go It Alone"?
(Half joking...the verses are kinda similar.)

Maybe I've just become cynical and jaded but I haven't been too moved by that one song. I'm hoping the rest of the record is better. I know Ashes & Fire was subject to a good deal of criticism ("it's too mellow") but I thought it was pretty good as a fresh start and light years away from Easy Tiger and Cardinology, both records I was never all that fond of.

I've never been able to get in to Demolition or III/IV, but I like (if not love) pretty much everything else he's released. I like this track...but I do hear a faint hint of Go It Alone, now that Duke mentioned it. Doubt Isbell would rip him on Twitter, as I think they are friends...but you never know.
