im a huge pop punk fan but sometimes i lose interest after a few spins, but this thing has stuck around big time for me. hook after hook, title track is one of the best ive heard in years

Sun Kil Moon - Benji

I've listened a little here and there but just starting to dig deeper into the Kozelek/Red House Painters/Sun Kil Moon world. Pretty weird and wonderful. Don't quite have my bearings yet.

I'm no expert on Kozelek, but this record is pretty jarring. I enjoy it, but in the right frame of mind. "Dogs" and "I Love My Dad" are probably my favorites.

I think this was him on the edge, and everything I've heard since them sounds like a guy who lost it.
