‘Mats worship from Minneapolis. Got shared in a Westerberg FB group I’m in. I don’t think these guys are together anymore, but this album’s fun.

This guy's previous record, Wistful for the Mystik" was pretty much my go to record through a good chunk of the pandemic. Really glad to have this new one.

I have HATED the last several Dawes records, but damn, this one is a revelation. It's funky, breaks off into trippy jazz improvs....a really exciting comeback from this band
And I knew when I woke up Rock N Roll would be here forever

Maybe my second favorite behind John Prine Live, and the one I keep coming back to.
On original album releases, some of the songs were cluttered up by superfluous instrumentation. Arrangements are perfect on this one with fantastic song selection.

The War on Drugs Austin City Limit show is now streaming for free. It is a great performance. Adam Granduciel's pedal rig is amazing. It looked like a space station. I mean there must have been 200 pedals. I remember counting 19 keyboards. Anyway, its a great performance - you guys will enjoy.

The American Aquarium livestream from Raleigh NC last night.
Re-watching / listening again today.
Katie Pruitt and Lucero opened. Lucero killed it.
AA played 27 songs (a greatest hits setlist). BJ promised no repeats the next 2 nights (with the exception of 2 songs)
