What's Everyone Listening to?

Know of a great band you think we'd like to hear about? Got some music news? Or just want to talk about music in general? Post it here.

Has several of his best songs, but the production on every song is, to me, so slick and over the top, with perhaps the exception of Spike. Absolutely loved the live versions of most of these songs, which gave a hint of what the album could have been without Dave Stewart's handiwork.

That said, I have never cared for Don't Came Around Here No More and would be happy to never hear it again. I may be on an island for this opinion, but after the video for Don't Came Around Here No More things weren't ever quite the same for them in my eyes. They became enormous and rich as fuck, but for me, the music, while still pretty fucking amazing, was nonetheless never as good as before this song/video/album. It's hard to pinpoint exactly what I mean, but the sound was rarely again ever as raw as it was on the first four albums (perhaps it's an absence of Iovine), and that's what I love most about them. And please don't get me wrong, I still love Full Moon Fever and Echo and Wildflowers just like most do, but at the end of the day it's always gonna be those first four albums that I turn to when I need that fix
Son, this ain't a dream no more, it's the real thing
