Never heard of Eric Ambel until about 2 weeks ago when I saw the bottle Rockets live. Apparently he produced the new bbottle Rockets record and he also produced the new record by Sarah Borges, and she opened the bottle Rockets show. Her backing band consisted of two of the bottle Rockets on bass and drums and, you guessed it, Eric Ambel on guitar. He sounded really good. Also I believe the nickname he goes by is Roscoe. And Sarah Borges was really good.

I first got to know him through the Del Lords and seeing his name pop up on albums by other folks I like. The Del Lords should have been bigger, but they had the bad luck of popping on the scene about the same time as the Del Fuegos. Roscoe's the real deal.
