Here's a tangent! You just reminded me how much I dig this here song. Sort of a folkie "Love Shack":

The sooner we put those assholes in the grave&piss on the dirt above it, the better off we'll be

Meanwhile in north Alabama, Aretha Franklin comes to town
to record that sweet soul music, to get that Muscle Shoals sound

the return of the durutti column

listening to this band gives me the bizarre feeling of not knowing for sure if its total amateur noodling, or as good as the electric guitar gets

hard to choose between the 20s stuff and the 60s stuff, but tracks like oh death kinda tip me in favor of the 60s recordings

His Revenant album Country Blues is absolutely essential stuff. It is 100% filled with the “spook”

New first time on vinyl reissue from their private label. If you were enamored by the fidelity of the Harrow and the Heart, this is the same deal. And a mighty fine record to boot

Love that record! "Look at Miss Ohio" is one of the greatest songs of the 21st century. Might have to pony up for that puppy.

According to Brian Henneman's Instagram we might start seeing a little different show from the B-Rox. It sounds like they may lean more country with their sound at live shows...not as loud, more telecasters, less Gibsons. No complaints from me.

He is great on IG btw. He eats and breathes guitars.
