Just discovered this fantastic record yesterday. Knowing all you squirrelly Listening Thread MF'ers as I do, I can comfortably predict that at least a few of you will like this country music record. I'm thinking of you old timers... Iowan, dime, scotto, bovine, 3mile, even old Cortez (but probably not the new one).

Yeah I like these guys. They played in Athens at the unfortunately short lived Normaltown Hall. They're good.

Unfortunately, no. Just streaming on Spotify. I hadn't listened to it in ages. Great atmospheric stuff.

The Hoodoo record is solid. Some pops/gaps with very noticeable sound deterioration toward the middle of the the record.

The Green on Red is sonically outstanding.

money well spent, regardless of cost.

i'm sure there is a thread for this somewhere else, but since we are here....does anybody notice new pressings of lps seem to have more flaws than vintage vinyl? those old records are rock solid.

back on topic...mike brenner's work with molina was so fucking good.

I'm sure the reasons are numerous, and there are far more knowledgeable folks on the subject than me, but I've been told part of the issue is how the album is recorded. Older records used analog tape, whereas a good number of modern recordings are digital. I gotta imagine this impacts the transfer to vinyl.
