good to hearIowan wrote:Shakespeare wrote:I went and found the clip you were referring to.Iowan wrote: if youre interested, theres a really good version of wildest dreams (one of her best songs imo) from some grammy event on youtube. its just taylor singing and playing electric guitar and shes by no means a technical wizard but theres a rawness to it that makes me want her career to tank so she can make albums like that
It was really good.

If that were her MO, I'd be a pretty big fan.Shakespeare wrote: good to hear

not sure how realistic an album like that is anymore but i'll keep hopingIowan wrote:If that were her MO, I'd be a pretty big fan.Shakespeare wrote: good to hear
pretty good stuff. obviously not up to the best of his sideman appearances, but its a really easy listen, mostly tight jamming. dont have the liner notes inf ront of me at the moment but i assume there are some familiar names
ive had ghost town in regular rotation lately, especially in the mornings and late at night. its fantastic sorta ambient country and eventually got me revisiting this trio album which isnt as mellow but has plenty of great stuff

Me too. A friend caught one of the few shows and said they were savage live.Shakespeare wrote:actually i remember liking the relentless7 album quite a bit
Shame it seems it was just a one off project. Still hoping they'll get together again at some point.

Newly reissued and added to Spotify. I've probably listened to "White Plain" a dozen times in the past few days. Give this one a spin.
All it takes is one wicked heart, a pile of money, and a chain of folks just doing their jobs

with the possible exception of weezer, there was no band i listened to more in high school than this one. theyve lost me a bit in recent years but their great stuff more than holds up and i wouldnt be shocked if they have another classic or two left in the tank.
i might still consider steven drozd my favorite rock drummer

Clams' Riot Grrrl transformation is almost complete. You should head back earlier and check out some great female post-punk like The Slits, The Raincoats, Siouxsie & The Banshees, X-Ray Spex, Bush Tetras and Au Pairs.Clams wrote:

I'm starting to be of the belief that his best material is unreleased. It's all out there on Youtube, if you go down the rabbit hole.
I'm really starting to think this dude is a Top 5 Under 40 songwriter.

Great band but not so great album. I saw them in December with original singer Shawn Brown and they were awesome.Shakespeare wrote:just finished amen dunes - love. revisiting this a bit before getting to the new one. not a band i always love but the great songs are very worth it

Only one? Then I suggest this one. As far as the Donnas, I liked the Turn 21 album when it came out.Clams wrote:I can only handle one at a time, cortez!cortez the killer wrote:Clams' Riot Grrrl transformation is almost complete.
