Re: What's Everyone Listening to?
I'm going shopping today: new GBV, new MMJ & new Nick Cave B-sides collection. For budgetary reasons going to skip the Stones reissue. To get the live stuff you have to shell out for the super deluxe package. The 2 cd version just has Tattoo You & a disc of stuff that didn't make the album. I'm going to listen to those & maybe get the 2 disc version later..

New MMJ is solid, though not spectacular. As expected, 43 year old Jim James is not going to make 28 year old Jim James albums anymore. Still, the album has a good groove, and several song have extended instrumental codas that melt faces. Some good candidates for regular rotation in live setlists.
And I knew when I woke up Rock N Roll would be here forever

Agree. Didn't quite stick after the first few listenings (except for the opening track which hit me right away) but it's been growing on me.
NP. New HGM out today.

I do too, but I will say that the song sequencing is a mess. Feels like I'm listening to the album on "shuffle" each time I play it throughchuckrh wrote: ↑Fri Oct 22, 2021 3:38 pmI'm listening to it now.
