Know of a great band you think we'd like to hear about? Got some music news? Or just want to talk about music in general? Post it here.

Still AOTY for me, and it's message gets more poignant every day. It's the angry, anti-Trump record for our times

Bjork - Utopia

It's pretty good but could do with a few more melodies, at times it sounds like an avant garde classical record.

She is still doing it, huh? Nice. I had no idea. I gotta dust off Post which is an absolute classic.

Hadn't spun this for awhile. This has really grown on me over the years. I think 2/3rds of this album is Top Tier Patterson work, and I actually prefer to it much of the material he's contributed to DBT albums in that time. There's something about the approach he takes sonically on his solo works that really, really works for me. He has this knack for simple, chugging riffs that play better with just one more guitar, and room for the rhythm section to breathe. Throw in a little pedal steel or piano from time to time, and it just suits what he's doing very, very well.

New Neil Young and Christ Stapleton. Both jump around somewhere between being solid and pretty damn good.
Turn it up to 10 and rip off the knob

My initial impressions of new Stapleton is that I like Vol 1 better than Vol 2.

I agree 100%. Vol. I was one of my favorite albums of the year, II is nice but probably won’t have a ton of replay appeal to me.

Somebody else picked PD? I think someone was angling for an Xmas present upgrade :)
