Earnhardt. Self titled. Band out of Brooklyn. It’s enjoyable and they cover a song that folks on here will certainly appreciate

Craig Finn “I Need A New War”
Completely in the vein of the last few solo albums. The opener “Blankets” is fantastic.

Bruce Springsteen - "Hello Sunshine"
If the song gets over at all it's on the strength of the strong, committed vocals. There are a couple of great couplets but otherwise the lyrics are pretty mundane. Then there's the music. Ummmm, the music. Awful might be a little too strong; boring is probably closer. The playing is totally uninspired, apparently as an aesthetic choice, which is hard to understand. Thanks to the person on Expert Witness who finally satisfied my itch by identifying "Everybody's Talkin'" as the song this one is apparently based on.

Re: What's Everyone Listening to?
From what I've seen here and elsewhere from DBT fans I am seriously outvoted on this one. C'est la vie. I can definitely understand others liking the lyrics more than I do; they seem to me to be the kind that could hit hard if they hit you just right, they just don't work for me, but we will certainly have to disagree about the music.whatwouldcooleydo? wrote:As do IClams wrote:I like itbeantownbubba wrote:Bruce Springsteen - "Hello Sunshine"

Apparently there's an entire brand new album by JJ Cale and guess what... it's fucking great! I guess he isn't as dead as I've been led to believe.

I saw a nice, very positive, enthusiastic review of the song in pitchfork.beantownbubba wrote:From what I've seen here and elsewhere from DBT fans I am seriously outvoted on this one. C'est la vie.
