Know of a great band you think we'd like to hear about? Got some music news? Or just want to talk about music in general? Post it here.

I had that album during my high school punkish phase.

You can imagine what it did to my imagination.

Love that cover but given that my daughter is 16, that kinda ruins it for me.

If it helps, they were probably in their 20's.

But yeah.

Didn't much care for this when it came out, but it's become my favorite album they've put out.

im of the belief that the sweet spot for an album length is around 40 minutes, but give me 2+ hours of this kind of 90s ambient electronica and i'll still come away wanting more. good stuff here

now this is best served in small doses, lovely as it is.

comfortably top 5 album for me

makes me very sad that in the 8 years since mark died there's been nothing in the way of reissues, archive material, etc. seems like his estate wants nothing to do with any of that, which is obviously their right, but its sad to see the music slowly disappear. maybe the 20th anniversary of this one will bring something next year but i dont have my hopes up

This might be the most Sarah Shook quote ever
Asked about her influences, she scoffs. “I've gone through very real and extremely terrible shit and I have suffered traumatizing abuse for years and I've picked myself up and wiped the goddamn blood off my face and kept goin', and that's the only goddamn influence I got.”

I like Sarah Shook quite a bit, so this isn't a criticism. But I can't help that this was my first thought when I read this quote:
Asked on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” who he talks with consistently about foreign policy, Trump responded, “I’m speaking with myself, number one, because I have a very good brain and I’ve said a lot of things."

"I know what I’m doing and I listen to a lot of people, I talk to a lot of people and at the appropriate time I’ll tell you who the people are," Trump said. “But my primary consultant is myself and I have a good instinct for this stuff."
All it takes is one wicked heart, a pile of money, and a chain of folks just doing their jobs
