At the least, Jamey Johnson is still out performing. He played a sizeable role in Warren Haynes' Last Waltz tour that just ended back in April
I saw Jamey in November and the show was probably 75% cover tunes. Big giant band, big giant crowd and it was like a bar band on a Saturday night.
It was great.
I guarantee you he wrote some of those cover tunes.

Ophelia, The night They Drove Old Dixie Down, Think I'll Just Stay Here And Drink, I Fall To Pieces, Jackson, Set Em Up Joe (I think he played it), Tulsa Time, I Saw The Light......
I promise they were covers.
