American Aquarium covering a bunch of 90's pop country hits. The soundtrack to my sitting on a school bus for 2 hours a day. Absolutely loving this.

This is pretty damn good too. As much as I'm tempted to hate Miranda for what happened to my favorite band to come out of the last decade, she was more of a symptom than a cause and it takes two to tango.

Or ten hours a day on a tractor all summer every summer with one radio station. I know these songs like the back of my hand. AA did em justice too.

My early preference is for this one over the AA covers record. I'm thinking it's gonna sound real fuckin good out back by the firepit this summer.

It's got that vibe in spades.

I'm think the AA covers record is going to get blasted while kayaking (if it ever rains again here), and/or day drinking.

I usually had rock or oldies on in the tractor cab, but there was definitely one summer where I had the country station on. Probably '95 or '96. Right in this wheel house.

Hoping we get more out of AA like this album down the line. The 90s had some great country songs on the radio that unfortunately got weighed down by the studio cheesiness.
Turn it up to 10 and rip off the knob

A bunch of my Virginia music buddies are huge A Aquarium fans and told me about the new album .

On the way to work this morning I heard part of the new “Medicine Man” song by Keb Mo and Old Crow Medicine Show and really enjoyed it!

Missed that this was reissued on vinyl in 2019. Rectified that this week.

Listened a few times over the weekend and love this album. Smart song selection and just a lot of fun. Takes me back....I can almost hear myself not getting laid.

You and me both, brother.

This would not have been the list of 1990's songs I would have chosen, but AA kills all of these tunes. It' s really great.
IMO, John Deere Green is the standout.

I was in the car weeks ago and snapped a pic of my radio when this song played to remind me to relisten. I just read Lucas Nelson plays on the track.

Agree on John Deere Green, but I think Heads Carolina, Tails California; Shoulda Been a Cowboy, and Queen of My Double Wide are all really, really good.
