The two songs released from Jeff Tweedy's upcoming solo album are better than anything on Wilco's last record
I almost enjoyed Wilco's last album, but I've been pretty fucking bored pretty quickly with anything Tweedy has put out the last 5-6 years. It just all kind of rides that quiet, fuzzy vibe with very few hooks. It's well crafted, and extremely well performed but it doesn't grab me much at all.
"Guess Again" is pretty good. "Love Is The King" follows the formula I'm quite bored with.

Same here, but maybe going back even further. Sky Blue Sky is the last one I was really taken with.
All it takes is one wicked heart, a pile of money, and a chain of folks just doing their jobs

Wilco (The Album) has some pretty great moments, but I get this take completely.
^^^ surprise new record dropped today by Tyler Childers. It's 8 fiddle instrumentals plus one new track with lyrics seems to be about his current state of mind.

I enjoyed this. Not a big instrumental guy, but will definitely go back to that original tune.

That's the ultimate TC bait right there.
I've been on a big 90s indie rock kick the part several months, reconnecting with stuff from back in the day and discovering some bands and albums I missed at the time.
