I don't like the Cowboys at all (granted, not a historical division rival), but I kinda love the cover. I'm a sucker for high quality old school football pics.

Very strong album. Kinda split between a love letter to Dallas in the 90's, mixed in with some rumination on Rhett Miller quitting weed and booze a few years back (didn't have a problem, just wanted to be more mentally available).

It's not as fun as the past couple Old 97's albums, but it's got some classic Rhett Miller tunes and I can't imagine an Old 97's fan not liking it.

Back to fun Old 97's. I think this is honestly their 2nd best album.

Where would you rank 154 and Vol. 4 in the twee universe?

I don't know if I would characterize it as a phase just yet, but that Springfields record is a jangly gem that will get a lot of spins over the coming months.

They got a pretty decent fan base throughout all of Europe. Roadworks is a good entry point. These guys have dipped their toes in so many genres throughout their 30 year long career, there is something for everyone, but the prog has always been simmering underneath. I think I did an AOTW on them not long after I joined this board, but too lazy to revisit that now. Demon Box is one of my all time favorites by these guys. Craig L. was into them and we had a nice chat about the colab album they had just done with Ståle Storløkken (The Death Defying Unicorn) at the HC in 2013 before he passed away (although he misheard me and though I had said "Motorcycles" at first, something he apparently wasn't into at all...)

Timothys Monster is another classic.

That is eight years ago  Time flies. They have released 10+ studio albums as well as some live albums and collaboration albums with other artist since then. I haven't been able to keep track of everything.
