I love this album and miss this band. Andrew and Pete have certainly made great music individually but this was a special little bandMundane Mayhem wrote:

https://americansongwriter.com/country- ... -KrkRR97YMTransplanting himself from Brooklyn to Nashville nearly a decade ago, Joey Plunkett opened an East Nashville restaurant in 2015. Reconnecting with local musicians and the scene, he slowly slipped back in. For the Atlanta-born Plunkett the New York-Nashville connection is still strong. He visits several times a year, and New York is where Country Westerns relocated, in interval visits, to record their debut (Fat Possum).

Re: What's Everyone Listening to?
You are welcome! I love the Hip from way back. Wish the other guys would do some more music. Of course, they could be in Canada & it just hasn't penetrated the states yet. With Seattle being only 2 hours south of the border we were one the Hip strongholds in the states. There was a big short lived club here & the guys who owned it didn't know much about music (hence the short lived part haha). They used to call me about bands they were thinking about booking & I had a great track record for them. When they called me about the Hip I said "book them now!". Set the record for alcohol sold at a show there that stood until the club closed. Some other stuff I told them to book included Paul Weller, Los Lobos & Buddy Guy amongst others. I got to sit with Buddy & have a few drinks with him while he told stories. Fantastic!

I got pulled away about half way through, but I was digging it. Didn't necessarily blow my doors off, but it's an absolutely worthy entry in a consistent run. "Hey Child" jumped out to me as a stand out track.Clams wrote: ↑Fri Jul 10, 2020 9:07 amHot damn, a fuckin treasure trove in my Spotify Release Radar this morning.

“Wasted” (off of MMJ’s new record) is going to be so good live. Hopefully live music will happen soon...
And I knew when I woke up Rock N Roll would be here forever
