This.

As good as any of his other albums. Sonically, might be his best. If you think this guy is just a joke, you aren't getting it.
The music sounds great but really, how can you take him seriously? (I say that as I'm laughing, obviously).

It actually does make me laugh out loud. That combined with just how good the music is and how good the tunes are make it quite a unique experience. Number one country record on I tunes right now btw. The evolving story line is classic. He has a wife and kid now!

After the initial listen, it reminds me much more of Sukierae than anything Wilco related.
So the new Tweedy solo album sounds more like a Tweedy solo album?
And I knew when I woke up Rock N Roll would be here forever

Does Killers & Stars sound anything like Murdering Oscar?

The new Tweedy. Promising. Liking it better than anything Wilco since, let me see...Wilco (The Album)?

Any of you folks ever listen to the Spanic Boys ? They were a father/son led group from Milwaukee who released a few records in the 1990's. I stumbled onto them recently and I dig what they were doing. Lots of telecaster rockabilly sounding guitars. Here's a clip from Conan back then....

What's your verdict on the whole album? I've heard a few cuts I really liked, but wasn't sure if it was worth it for the whole slab.

Stumbled upon this on Amazon today... Twinkle Twinkle Little Rock Star Lullaby Versions of Drive-By Truckers

https://www.amazon.com/Lullaby-Versions ... y+truckers

And no, I'm not listening to this now (really, I swear). Hopefully this is the weirdest thing I see on the internet today.

^ I'm only disappointed they're all instrumentals. I was expecting a children's chorus on "Birthday Boy."

I like it. They remind me a little bit of Natural Child, but with more of an allegiance to the Animals than the Stones.

Are you sure it's not Peter Gabriel's grandson? Looks just like him too.

Listen to his voice - he sounds exactly like Johnny.
