probably the best album recommendation ive taken from this board.
Do you remember who recommended it? I don't think it was me, but I wasn't aware that this album has a following on this board.
my gut tells me it was you but i cant find the proof. it was definitely this board though, i can tell you that. i actually found a used copy later the day i read about it here and its been in near steady rotation since. really great stuff

Same here. Has aged well, too.

From Wikipedia -
Owsley recorded the album in his own home studio, funded largely by his work as guitarist in Amy Grant's touring band.

Waxahatchee and Kevin Morris cover two great Jason Molina songs. Don't get much better than this.

From the archive:

DBT, July 29, 2004 at the Visulite.

Isbell is yelling the harmonies. Hood is sick and sounds deliriously high, but giving a solid delivery. Cooley's vocal sounds fucking fantastic. Set list is amazing (Daddy's Cup, Boys from Alabama, Plastic Flowers, and Isbell's greatest DBT hits), and then there's all that guitar. Would have liked to have seen this one.
