Springsteen probably more of a fit with respect to style, but he already has a band

Great idea! Although after Roy passed I wanted ol Neil to join the Traveling Wilburys, but then George passed and I couldn't come up with a replacement.whatwouldcooleydo? wrote:you rang?RolanK wrote:Someone now needs to adopt the Heartbreakers.

Re: What's Everyone Listening to?
funny how this has held up much better than I recalled, the exact opposite of Dickey Betts' Pattern Disruptive. IIRC both came out relatively close to one another, remember playing them a lot in the record store

Re: What's Everyone Listening to?
First kinda sorta listen to Neil Young's "Hitchhiker" while paying bills.
Outside of Neil's signature vocal sound, parts of "Hawaii" sound like the song could have been recorded by Jason Molina during the Songs: Ohia years.
======
ETA: After the song "Hitchhiker" played, I switched over to the Le Noise version for comparison. The dog started barking his head off. Across the house, I heard my wife asking the dog why he was barking. But I knew. She couldn't hear it, but he could.
Doggie McPups (not his real name, but what I call him) definitely prefers the acoustic version. I've switched the song versions back and forth for experiment, and the dog only barks during the Le Noise version. Not a big surprise since McPups is kinda like Chuck from "Better Call Saul" ---enough so that Chuck is his nickname. He hates blenders and the dishwasher and the vacuum. And apparently Le Noise.
Wife still has no idea what's going on.

Le Noise is a good record, but your dog knows what's up when it comes to which is the superior version of "Hitchhiker".

Holy Fucking Shit!
I'd know that voice anywhere. I'm so glad it's the full tape and not just the music. Not that I'd turn just the music down. But holy fucking shit!

The sooner we put those assholes in the grave&piss on the dirt above it, the better off we'll be

Re: What's Everyone Listening to?
Both great choices. It's About Time seems like a jumbled collage of whatever was ready to record, but damn, if there aren't some awesome tunes on that album for everybody!whatwouldcooleydo? wrote:
