What's Everyone Listening to?

Know of a great band you think we'd like to hear about? Got some music news? Or just want to talk about music in general? Post it here.

fuck yeah, I love Ike Reilly
Really? You know who he is? He is my roomate from college's neighbor from a town in the Northwest Suburbs named Libertyville. (Tom Morello is also from that town.) I dig We Belong To the Staggering Evening, Salesmen and Racists, and Junkie Faithful.
Cool dude as well.
Totally, I have several of his albums, really like each one. In addition to the ones you mentioned, I also have Hard Luck Stories. I first learned of him in Steve Almond's book Rock and Roll Will Save Your Life. I was stunned when he turned up in a Chris Farley documentary, I guess they were friends.

I'm always blown away that more people don't know him/his work, he's fuckin' great

only one listen so far, dig it! Can't say I totally absorbed the lyrics on the one listen but it's a helluva guitar album. So far it hits me as fairly classic Matthew Sweet- hook-driven songs, sweet vocals, and lots of Crazy Horseesque riffs!

Release today, yes!

3-4 listenings so far. 17 tracks. Allready loving it. The energy and sonic attack from the previous album is still there but the songwriting, arrangements and production is up quite a few notches imo.

I like it better than past LBIII efforts, but it suffers in comparison to his Dexateens compadres. Maybe unfair to line him up like that, but when you leave an amazing band to venture out on your own, it's inevitable to compare

I'm digging it too. I thought 17 tracks might be a little too much, but it's working for me.

First listen and I want to hear it again. Cleaned up production, guitars and vocals clear. Now to check out the lyrics

Lee's clearest vocals to date. Not even a debate on that.
