What's Everyone Listening to?

Know of a great band you think we'd like to hear about? Got some music news? Or just want to talk about music in general? Post it here.

his whole career is outstanding, in my book, but damn, what a roll he's been on since Houston Kid!
This damn thing really is great.

2017 is turning into a beast of a year musically.

And while Rodney is getting some love on here...I'm not sure there many songs better than Shame On The Moon.

The new Imelda May is quite good. Big change in direction. 1 song with some very tasty guitar from Mr. Jeff Beck.

Possibly even better than good kid, m.A.A.d City and To Pimp A Butterfly, which says a lot. A transcendent musical talent. I am struggling to find a hip-hop group or artist that has had a three LP run of that magnitude. The Beastie's perhaps with either (License To Ill)>Paul's Boutique>Check Your Head>or (Ill Communication)

How about the first 3 Public Enemy albums?

Yeah, I agree with that. Those were pretty damn solid and almost three decades mature. Elite company.

Probably listened to this 10 times plus since Friday.

That last track, DUCKWORTH, particularly amazes me.

good kid/m.A.A.d. city is probably my favorite hip hop album of all time, so I'm not ready to put it on that level, but I'd say it's at least equal to Butterfly
And I knew when I woke up Rock N Roll would be here forever

I like it. It's also a bit redundant. I've yet to see a good selfie.

Yeah, he's essentially "critic-proof" at this point, I think, and for good reason.

DUCKWORTH. is great, but I always find myself missing that bass line once the first (non-intro) section transitions into the second.
All it takes is one wicked heart, a pile of money, and a chain of folks just doing their jobs

The first three A Tribe Called Quest albums also belongs in this company.

DAMN is magnificent, early days but reckon it could be the equal of Pimp, and for my money better than Good Kid.
