how would you categorize it?

it's not a 12"
it's not a compilation

live albums are the same thing... it's an album.

I forgot about the first one technically being a CAH album. Which is weird, because the other guy sings on about half the songs.

I've been meaning to pick up Let It Bleed on vinyl for quite a while, and finally did today when I picked up AB and Lydia Loveless' Real. LIB wasn't advertised as such, but I guess it was part of the "Clearly Classic" line of reissues on translucent clear vinyl. Nice surprise.

AB again on vinyl. It's also playing on mute on my phone via Spotify so that the band gets a few extra tenths of a cent or whatever.

Me too, at long last. I'd weigh in with my thoughts (such as What it Means and Kinky Hypocrite are my current faves) but I only gave it one spin. Damn, I love this band.

Indeed. he also wrote Daydream Believer and Runanway Train, which was a hit for Roseanne Cash.
And to be a guy from California, he could write a helluva tune about the middle of the country.

If I remember correctly, he was also in the Kingston Trio

and in my book he gets docked points for Daydream Believer

love it, a show that always gets overlooked due to the previous night. One of my favorite H>S>F, and as the show opener, to boot

another fave of that tour that, despite being a Dicks Picks, gets overlooked is the Fox Theater 5-19. Set two is "bigly" awesome

Agreed. I remember back in the 90's that both nights at the Fox were a couple of my favorite Dead tapes from my meager Dead collection at the time.
