I can't dance a lick but sometimes I can flat rock and roll
Re: What's Everyone Listening to?
The Yawpers have been dominating my running playlists recently.
Re: What's Everyone Listening to?
I live in Colorado, so these guys have been talked about for a while. And maybe that's why I never got around to actually giving this record a listen. Just kind of glossed over them.Iowan wrote:The Yawpers have been dominating my running playlists recently.
Kept seeing it posted here though, so this is my first listen. Other than the tracks they have played on local Public Radio in Denver.
Dig it so far.

The songs that seem to get held out as their "singles" (Silicone Love and Doin' It Right) aren't super indicative of their sound, but are good tunes nonetheless.TW_2.0 wrote:I live in Colorado, so these guys have been talked about for a while. Probably my favorite sonic discovery of the past year. A buddy in Fort Collins turned me onto them.

Roadside Graves - Acne/Ears. For my money, one of the top 10 albums of this decade.

Just discovered this record last weekend. Queue it up again.Clams wrote:Latest obsession. Spotify's got an anniversary edition with the original show from Muskogee, OK on disc 1 and also a show from Philly on disc 2. Both from 1969.

Sturgill Simpson's new album, A Sailor's Guide to Earth, is streaming on NPR.
I keep it all together for the sake of the kids.
