New Wussy must be clicking, because I've had "She's Killed Hundreds" stuck in my head all morning

Early co-favorite for album of the year with The I Don't Cares record. Lots still to come of course but these are the two I can't stop listening to.
We call him Scooby Do, but Scooby doesn’t do. Scooby, is not involved

Re: What's Everyone Listening to?
The new Wussy didn't really grab me on first listen, but with the exception of Teenage Wasteland, neither did Attica. I'm gonna give it some time. (I'm liking it so far, but nothing really stands out.)
ain't no static on the gospel radio

I feel similar about the new one.Duke Silver wrote:The new Wussy didn't really grab me on first listen, but with the exception of Teenage Wasteland, neither did Attica. I'm gonna give it some time. (I'm liking it so far, but nothing really stands out.)
Halloween was the song that got me off of Attica. Think it got posted in a thread here and I really took to it.

Re: What's Everyone Listening to?
I loved the new Wussy album since I heard the first note. Attica was great and I think Forever Sounds is even better. They are playing at a tiny club in DC later this month; really looking forward to that show.Iowan wrote:I feel similar about the new one.Duke Silver wrote:The new Wussy didn't really grab me on first listen, but with the exception of Teenage Wasteland, neither did Attica. Aside from a couple songs, I really don't get the big deal with Wussy, especially Christgau's statements.

Re: What's Everyone Listening to?
I'd heard of them for years via recommendations on the Guitartown email list but had never heard any of their music aside from a live performance of "Teenage Wasteland" they'd done for KEXP. When they played here last year I took a chance (as I so often do) just based on those recommendations and loved them live. That's what did the trick for me.Smitty wrote:Aside from a couple songs, I really don't get the big deal with Wussy, especially Christgau's statements.

Spotify only has "High Castle Rock," but I just ordered the CD based on that. Good shit. I knew there was a reason I kept current on my 3DD dues.TW_2.0 wrote:

Good purchase. I bought it too. Couldn't wait for Spotify based on the 2 tracks I had head. High Castle Rock being one of those.Duke Silver wrote:Spotify only has "High Castle Rock," but I just ordered the CD based on that. Good shit.
