What's Everyone Listening to?

Know of a great band you think we'd like to hear about? Got some music news? Or just want to talk about music in general? Post it here.

New Wussy must be clicking, because I've had "She's Killed Hundreds" stuck in my head all morning
And I knew when I woke up Rock N Roll would be here forever

Early co-favorite for album of the year with The I Don't Cares record. Lots still to come of course but these are the two I can't stop listening to.
We call him Scooby Do, but Scooby doesn’t do. Scooby, is not involved

The new Wussy didn't really grab me on first listen, but with the exception of Teenage Wasteland, neither did Attica. I'm gonna give it some time. (I'm liking it so far, but nothing really stands out.)

I feel similar about the new one.

Halloween was the song that got me off of Attica. Think it got posted in a thread here and I really took to it.

I loved the new Wussy album since I heard the first note. Attica was great and I think Forever Sounds is even better. They are playing at a tiny club in DC later this month; really looking forward to that show.

Aside from a couple songs, I really don't get the big deal with Wussy, especially Christgau's statements.

I'd heard of them for years via recommendations on the Guitartown email list but had never heard any of their music aside from a live performance of "Teenage Wasteland" they'd done for KEXP. When they played here last year I took a chance (as I so often do) just based on those recommendations and loved them live. That's what did the trick for me.

Good purchase. I bought it too. Couldn't wait for Spotify based on the 2 tracks I had head. High Castle Rock being one of those.
