Prog rock or fusion? I think I'd call it fusion.

Honestly...
Really love that album!
Just from seeing him live so much kind of burnt out on sunny day and the title track!

Woke up to this in my inbox this morning. Album doesn't drop till May. I may or may not have been late to work getting it downloaded and onto my ipod before leaving. Cover of Waitin' Round to Die is great. Still Drunk, Still Crazy, Still Blue is great as well. So far so good.
Still Drunk is a Scott H Biram cover I assume?

Biram is a guy who is a bit under appreciated around here. I know he has fans here, but he seems like a guy who should be right in most of our wheelhouses. "Still Drunk" and "Broke Ass" are as good as any two songs to come out in quite a while...at least to me.

slobberbone - crow pot pie
first listen to this band. ive had this and barrel chested for years but never played either for whatever reason. "alt-country" is such a pointless genre tag cuz it covers such a wide range of sounds, so i wasnt sure what to expect here but this is really doing it for me right now. it sounds like a slightly twangy jawbreaker or something. more pop-punk than country to me. def interested in hearing the rest of their stuff now

My go to Slobberbone record is "Everything You Thought Was Right Was Wrong Today". I enjoy them all though.

Maybe you can start a new thread - "Obvious Influence Isn't So Obvious".
