Really bummed we're going to miss him here in town on Friday night. We'll be in Memphis for DBT.

I keep it all together for the sake of the kids.

First spin, so far so good.
(but I have to admit, he looks like Chaka from Land of the Lost in that cover pic)
After 10+ spins this has grown on me. I really like this album. I had some reservations, but artists and musicians need room to do stuff. A lot of the songs have great hooks, something RA is good for.
And while the chorus-y, chimey guitars threw me at first I've come to like the guitar sound.
Still think the cover looks like Chaka from Land of the Lost though.
Not forever, just for now.

I love the vibe of these guys. I wish they'd come around more often.

I wanted to see them last year when John Neff was touring with them, I had a chance to coordinate a show with some business but a meeting fell through and it didn't happen. I thought Neff was a good fit for what they were doing. Unfortunately I don't think they're so much of a band anymore as a vehicle for whatever Kurt Marschke wants do musically. I think he's still in Nashville so hopefully something will surface again soon.

Good solid R&R record. Some Stones, old time R&R and even surf music thrown in for good measure. Hadn't heard it in a long time. He's got several good ones.

This is great.
On second thought, I'm going with very good. Like his buddy Ben Nichols, there are some skippers in the middle, but the front and back ends of this album are very good. 4 or 5 top notch songs here, particularly "You Make Me", "The No Hit Wonder", "All the Rivers in Colorado" and "The Highway Home".

Hearing the lead track, "Countrified Inner City Technological Man", immediately brought to mind The Kinks' lead track from Muswell Hillbillies, "20th Century Man."
