Elmo Williams & Hezekiah Early - Takes One to Know One

Pretty damn sure Cortez lifted the lid on this one, but I was an early adopter....also haven't listened to it in a while.
Just finished:

By sheer coincidence I stumbled on this today at one of the music sites I fish from. Apparently some kids in Denmark (where Link lived his last 20 years & died) saw a good band name in an album title.
Mixed bag, but some dirty blues, country & soul here, pretty good all around. Echoes of Howlin ‘Wolf, Earl King & Link Wray, mixed with contemporary influences like Dan Auerbach and Jack White.

The last couple of weeks my listening has been pretty much strictly these records:
English Oceans
Hard Working Americans
The Bottle Rockets reissue
Caitlin Rose's The Stand In
That's been the playlist.

Great minds and all that
My work computer is now blocked from Spotify, and I'm about to lose my shit. I've been relying on youtube and Pandora the past couple of days. I got down the youtube wormhole a little this afternoon, and I've got this on right now, as I happen to open this thread.
Lots of great Boss covers on the youtubes.

Nope, I don't get it either (or any of Haim's contemporaries either)
And I knew when I woke up Rock N Roll would be here forever

A singing family. Kind of like the Von Trapps, except for hipsters.
