Hey, sir Bovine and anyone else: How is this? Huge Band fan and never got around to getting this. I have their out of print box set, "Across the Great Divide" which is ok, not great (I admit, I got it for the Watkins Glen extras - guilty as charged! ). Any info or opinions on this would be appreciated.

I think it was well worth the $$. Rocking Chair is worth it alone.

In my book, essential...a ton of unissued stuff, very nicely packaged & the 6th disc (DVD) features some great bonus in rehearsal & live material. Another great, unofficial collection is Academy of Outtakes circa 1971, non-duplicated live tracks from 1971 sets that made up Rock of Ages (great versions)...damn nice quality too....a further 8 studio out takes including one with Dylan round out the 2 disc set. This music can be found below:
I knew a few of the songs pretty well, but between finishing Season 2 of The Wire yesterday, and getting the new JTE, I felt compelled to dig back into my dormant Steve collection. This is just slaying me. Last night I made a play list that was just "You're Still Standin' There" on repeat about 10 times and fell asleep to it.

Love that song. It was my introduction to the wonderful world of Lucinda. If I had to declare my 100 favorite songs ever, I think it would make the cut.

She's been on my radar about as long as any artist here (save the Stones/NY/Petty types). I remember going to the record store with my old man when I was in middle school, and him picking up "Car Wheels on a Gravel Road" because he'd read a good review.
I was not expecting to hear her come in when I was listening through it yesterday. Really made the song for me.
