Couldn't help but watch a short Dead doc (insanely cramped into a half hour) on AXIS TV the other day. They showed footage of a video for Hell In a Bucket - which had some cheesy scenes of Weir in a bar, etc. I had no clue they had a music video for anything other than Touch of Grey. Is this true or were my eyes playing tricks on me?

Love Foolish Heart, one of the last great Hunter/ Garcia tunes. Never knew they made a video for it. A few standout versions: 3/19/90 Hartford and 6/11/93

Did you do the full year subscription or did you buy this Dave's Picks a la carte? Though not certain, I *think* they ship to subscribers before they do a la carte buyers

this release probably buries my longtime wish for an official release of December 5, 1971- an epic, epic show, FM recordings have circulated forever- but nonetheless this should be sweet!!!
I mentioned 12/5/71--besides being an amazing show, it has perhaps my very favorite Bill Graham intro, and that's saying something!

Ladies and gentlemen, the Grateful Dead! Yours and mine

So glad you said that. I feel the same way. I mean, it looks cool, if that matters. But it feels flimsy, and like something that will be bent very easily. And where the hell do you even put something like this in your house?? I'm gonna rip the discs and put this thing on the bookshelf or something I guess. Ah well. Still excited to jam these.

Dear music industry: THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH JEWEL CASES

The new Chris Stapleton CD is in the flimsiest packaging I've ever seen. Even for a cardboard sleeve, it's awfully cheap and weak.

so I'm listening to New Haven. Sounds fine but on disc 1 the last two tracks are skipping like a mofo, totally unlistenable and unacceptable. Checked disc and it was severely scratched. More than willing to be it is because it came loose (each of the 4 shows had a loose disc when I opened the set) from this awful packaging during transit and got scratched. Now gonna have to go through the whole set very and pay close attention for any more flaws. First world problems for sure, but still :x :x :x

They're going bananas on Dead.net over the problems with this set: download issues, wrong items sent, missing discs, scratches, and skips. I have two skips myself, on discs that look cosmetically perfect, so make sure you check 'em all. Think they sorta dropped the ball on this one..

Seeing all the troubles people are having with this release is making me glad I skipped out on this one: missing out on 3 shows here, but I have a crystal-clear burn of the Cornell show and I was fine just living with that one.

I hear ya loud and clear.

This thing would be great if I bought it as an art piece for display and never intended to actually listen to the discs :x

They would be wise to go back to the simple, practical, utilitarian packaging they used for the Winterland 73 and 77 sets and the Fillmore West 69
