It's insane. Listened to it like 5 times on Sunday.

The Comes a Time from Buffalo is on repeat for me today.

Glad to report that I have found no flaws on either Boston or Cornell. About to give Buffalo it's initial listen, fingers crossed

I wore out my cassettes of Buffalo, primarily due to listening to the H>S>F over and over and over and over and over......

Am I the only Deadhead on Earth who could take or leave "Morning Dew?" Sure, some versions (esp Cornell, also Veneta 72) are pretty great, but as a tune, it's never been my favorite "Jerry ballad"

Maybe I should have posted that on the blasphemy thread!

So it turns out that I only have one damaged disc in Get Shown the light. I contacted Rhino last Monday and then followed up again yesterday. So far, not a peep in return

Which one is damaged? My discs 2s of both New Haven and Boston were messed up, so I wrote Rhino and within a week or so they had sent replacement discs in little white sleeves. Did you write Dr. Rhino? This has been a pretty common issue, I guess, so they may just be flooded with emails right now. Let me know if you need the email address.

In other news, does anyone know if this new Long Strange Trip doc will be coming to DVD? I still haven't even seen the Weir doc because I refuse to subscribe to Netflix. Of course it isn't playing anywhere within 200 miles of here.

I did contact Rhino via their 'contact us" function. Please give me the email you used, thanks! My damaged disc is the very first disc, New Haven disc 1

Important GD question:

When it comes to Loser, do you prefer it with the "sweet Susie" part (as in, "last fair deal in the country, sweet Susie") or without?

Without for me

Without. The guitar fill more prominently in it's place is preferable.

I dig the old, rare versions of Brown-Eyed Women where Jerry sings, "I cut hickory for to fire the still," instead of "I cut hickory just to fire the still." "For' seems more like what a dude cutting hickory to make shine would say

Oh, without! Better effect. I was thinking about just that when listening the latest Dave's Picks.

was lucky to be in attendance for this. I felt horrible at this show, thought I was coming down with the flu, but when they went into this I magically got better in an instant!

he's performed quite a few GD covers over the years- Loser, FOTD (almost every night with Sugarcanes on that tour). Ship of Fools, It Must Have Been the Roses, and others I can't recall right now.

Seeing him a week from Monday in San Diego, doubtful he'll do any GD, pretty sure he doesn't do GD songs with the Impostors

Ha! Wait 'til I tell my brother this. He is a big Costello fan; the Dead...not so much.

EC absolutely loves the Grateful Dead! His first show (pretty sure it was his first) was the 72 Bickershaw Festival, He claims that he can ID himself in this photo
