I saw Mother's Finest a couple of weekends ago for the first time since the 80s. Several songs into the set, they broke out this one but changed the lyrics to the chorus after singing the first line just like it appeared on the original record.

I can't listen to that song without thinking of the Garrett Morris skit on Saturday Night Live where, as the Reverend Jesse Jackson, he asked, "Mr. Mick Jagger, where are all these black girls?" I guess it speaks to the political incorrectness of that skit that a clip of it can't be found on the YouTubes...

DBT - Three on the Tree

I'm sorry to have to tell you, I don't think I learned my lesson.
From time to time I still drive when I'm drunk.

---
If there's one thing that I ain't done since that night in Tennessee,
something that I ain't done one time since.
It changed me forever, and I think I'm better for it:
I never cussed that old pickup again.

Johnny Paycheck - Drinkin and Drivin

Five Dollars worth of Regular, Three Dollars worth of wine
Just hand me a road map, show me the state line
I got the blues on my bumper, Lord, I gotta leave ‘em behind
Yeah, I’m gonna drink and drive that woman right off of my mind

She bought a ticket for Texas, left me late last night
I got a ticket this morning for a D.U.I.
10-4 Ten Dollars is my very last dime
I’m gonna take it and drink and drive that woman right off of my mind

Breaker, Breaker, this is Heartache, now hear me loud and clear
I got a memory on my tailgate, Hey-hey, and old smokey’s on my rear
I’m gonna chase my headlights till I can drink me blind
I’m gonna be drinkin’ and drivin’ that woman right off of my mind

[Guitar]

She took my Grandma’s picture and everything I had
I’m half tanked on misery, I’ve never felt so bad
My walls are filled with nothin’ I can’t face ‘em tonight
So I’m-a gonna keep drinkin’ and drivin’ that woman right off of my mind

Breaker, Breaker, this is Heartache, now hear me loud and clear
I got a memory on my tailgate, Lord, and old smokey’s on my rear
I’m gonna chase my headlights till I can drink me blind
I’m gonna be drinkin’ and drivin’ that woman right off of my mind

I’m gonna be drinkin’ and drivin’ that woman right off of my mind

I like the range in this thread. Some of these songs are heavy on the innuendo, while my song selection has a verse about sucking an old man's cock

Actually, SNL is really strict about keeping their stuff off of YouTube. You can't find a lot of classic SNL on YouTube, like Bill Brasky or the Super Fans.

Very true. I need to find a sale on some of those SNL DVDs from the vintage Not Ready For Primetime Players days. I know a lot of those skits don't always turn out to be as great as I remember but a lot of times, they are.
