Saw Lydia in Charlottesville last night and she played 4-5 new ones. It they're any indication, it seems like there's a stunner of a new album in the works.

Unbelievable that we had a thread dedicated to Lydia Loveless all the way back in 2011.

Lydia is coming to Pensacola State week from Friday. Pretty good seats available too. Cooley has played there and Hood is coming in late Nov. IIRC.

Digging the new tunes so far. Should be a good one. Post divorce records rarely suck.

i just saw some random tweet from her about the divorce... had no idea. any other band changes?
Pretty sure it was just finalizing her split from Ben
She was recently on tour with Lily Hiatt. I saw a setlist and it looks like most/all of those songs from the Somewhere Else era were gone from her show. I think she's moved on from those days, personally and musically.

understandable but that's my favorite LP of hers so it's a drag.

Ben was replaced on bass by Mark Connor. I gather that since Lydia has broken up with her beau that she moved to NC to be with that she has likely moved back to Ohio. As far as I know, the lineup remains the same though they haven't been performing with the full configuration during recent shows. If she has indeed moved back to Ohio, I'm not sure if Mark (who is from Chapel Hill) will be part of the band in the future. If I'm not mistaken, she is going to be performing with a full band on NYE and New Year's Day at Fitzgerald's in Berwyn, IL. The last time I saw her perform was almost one year ago at Cat's Cradle Back Room in Carrboro, NC (my last show in general). For that show, she had some locals as her backing band but no Mark. As I'm sure everyone has noticed she has branched out to keys during more recent performances.
For those that may have missed it, this aired on the New Mexico PBS program Bands of Enchantment back in October but I believe it may have been filmed during the summer. Her band for this performance included everyone but Todd.
