That sucks. He seemed like a good guy in what interviews I saw/read.

I was never a fan but he seemed like a decent guy. He fought hard.
I have nowhere else to go. There is no demand in the priesthood for elderly drug addicts

Man, oh MAN what a voice! I was fortunate to see him live twice. Once with Sabbath and once with Rainbow.

When the singer starts yodellin', you know you're in for a wild night
Re: R.I.P. Ronnie James Dio
Never grew up in a generation where I could have truly appreciated Dio's talents. I do have friends who have exposed me to his music a bit though. Most importantly I'm fully aware of the influence that he brought for metal frontman.
I threw on "Neon Knights" a couple hours ago when I heard about this. His vocals fucking wailed

I've never taken a pissbreak during a DBT show but if I had it would have been during Dancing Ricky.

R.I.P. Ronnie. I remember listening to that first Rainbow record every night back in 8th grade.
Looks like a bunch of little whiny fucksticks to me
Re: R.I.P. Ronnie James Dio
Sad. I saw Rainbow twice back in the day-Mid-late 70s-and that little dude brought it.
RIP

Re: R.I.P. Ronnie James Dio
Been listening to RJD in all of his forms since the 8th grade. Truly a sad day for me and a lot of my friends. Ronnie, your impeccable work with Elf, Dio, Rainbow, and Black Sabbath will significantly help push hard rock and heavy metal far into future generations.

Re: R.I.P. Ronnie James Dio
Sometimes it may of seemed cheesy, but he was truly passionate about his trade......
Heaven and Hell was such a bad ass album when it came out. Sabbath v2. I love "Neon Knights" as well and then the prophetic "Die Young"

Re: R.I.P. Ronnie James Dio
I was practically weaned on Ozzy era Sabbath and hated the change-up. But the first time I heard Mob Rules and Heaven and Hell I adjusted. I hit emusic this morning to DL Mob Rules and man, talk about flashbacks. I was like 12 when that album came out.
Rest in Peace RJD. You knew how to ROCK it.

Not forever, just for now.
