Kind of a shitty article, but worth sharing as its gotten a bit of traction on the socialwebz ;)

Gary Stewart has the definitive "Quits", although I love to see Danny O'Keefe get mentioned anywhere and Steve Earle does a killer "Windfall".

I'm in the camp that thinks songs, particularly in the folk and country vein, are meant to be covered. No song is above it.

Kevin Russell (aka "Shinyribs") covering "Bandy the Rodeo Clown", a hit for Moe Bandy way back when, it was originally written by Lefty Frizzell and Whitey Shaffer. For the story behind this song, click here.
