I am really digging "A Treasure".
That tour was the first time we ever got to see Neil. I had forgot just how good that show
was. We saw the second incarnation of the International Harvesters which did not include
Spooner, but we got to see him with Neil during the 06 CSN&Y tour.
I really love this version of Are you ready for the country. You can really hear Spooner pounding
away on the keys. Rufus Thibodeaux's fiddle really puts it over the top.
and the rest as they say is uh er uh, well somebodies history somewhere?

That tour was my second time to see him swamp, and I love having this record to remember it.
Neil was touring behind the Old Ways record which was not too well received. Iv been trying to tell people how good that tour was but they just remember not liking that album. I 've always been a fan of the album but that tour really breathed life into the record for me.
We saw that show at the OKC zoo amphitheater on a birthday present ticket. Finished the show with a killer extended version of Down By The River.
My exwife and her friend talked their way behind the fence by his bus (don't know, don't care) where they got a picture and an autograph for my birthday.
Thanks swamp, for triggering a great memory.

Some rumors circulating around the Alpine Valley parking lot this afternoon that Neil may be sitting in with Pearl Jam. It could be hogwash, but the character on tonight's concert poster has a striking resemblence to Neil as well.....we'll see.

That would be cool. Pearl Jam needs something to breath some life into them.

We saw that show in Gainesville and that's my favorite version of that song. I was hoping
that it would have been on the cd.

Nope. Temple of The Dog reunion with Chris Cornell. No Neil though.

The Bridge School Benefit lineup has been announced. Here it is.

Neil Young
Dave Matthews
Arcade Fire
Foo Fighters (Sunday only)
Eddie Vedder
Los Invisibles, featuring Carlos Santana, Cindy Blackman Santana & Guests
Beck
Mumford & Sons
Tony Bennett (Sunday only)
Diana Krall (Saturday only)
Jenny Lewis

There are 5 acts on the bill that I've never seen before. Here they are: Arcade Fire, Los Invisibles, Mumford & Sons, Diana Krall, Jenny Lewis
Thoughts on any of those artists as live performers would be welcome.
I don't mind that Dave Matthews is on the bill as it gives me a good chunk of time for a meal & bathroom break.

Looks like Jonathan Demme has a new Neil Young documentary in the works called Neil Young Journeys. Rolling Stone has this report.

Just came here to post the same thing. I've been listening for close to twenty minutes now and it's all one long instrumental jam. Not that there's anything the matter with that.

Went over to Thrasher's Wheat and they are now saying it's just "sonic snippets" of the album. Either way, they are knocking me on my ass. Wow!

Definitive version of "Cortez." I love how Ralph starts drumming "Fuckin' Up" at the end of it. Phenominal stuff!

No more than the rest of you, Matt. I am also beyond thrilled that Neil has chosen to work with Crazy Horse again. I'm hoping for new studio work from them and a tour to follow. Time will tell...

Love it! Would we be looking at ticket prices in the range of the Buffalo Springfield tour for NY and Crazy Horse?
