Neil performing with them at Farm Aid last year was one of the highlights of the event to me. In fact, it was one of the highlights of my year.

Seriously ? I can't find any info about this. Drummond rules on bass the way Spooner rules on keys.

Not sure if it's legit but I found this. Seems bad new travels faster these days and is more difficult to verify.

Here's a tribute to Tim Drummond that Joe Henry posted on Facebook:

very sad this hour to learn of the passing of my old and dear friend, the great bassist tim drummond. his sprawl was immense, having played with a diversity of seminal artists --from james brown to conway twitty, through to ry cooder and neil young, and in the latter pair's most significant periods. as well, he gave up and held down gospel's supreme and funky authority in service to bob dylan, when gospel was the scrambling poet's preferred delivery system.
tim was the bassist on my own second album, "murder of crows" in 1988, and did in that moment what no musician i had long admired had yet done: he treated me like a peer. and it changed me.
rest easy, timmy. put on those fur slippers and glide.

I just posted this last week. Neil obviously has a tremendous amount of respect for everyone involved in this band, but has extra special things to say about Drummond.
Damn, this stings.

I wonder if Tim lived in St. Louis or if he was visiting. He was from Illinois, but I believe I have read in the past that he was based in California.

We're all familiar with the Ronnie & Neil legacy. I'd never heard this, an audience recording just a few weeks after the crash...at around the 4:30 mark of Alabama, it morphs into a cover of Sweet Home Alabama.

I really love that whole album. it was spose to be a CSN&Y album but good ole Neil erased Crosby and Nash's stuff when they went home for the weekend.
and that pussy Alec Baldwin blew that girl away, and speaking of pussy Steve got it all!

It's from his 2002 solo album If I Should Fall From The Field.

Just got back from Red Rocks....very similar setlist to what Bill posted. A few songs were different here and there. The main thing I can think of is an excellent version of Cowgirl In The Sand, which was probably the high point of the evening for me.
