I've read some reviews and they all seem very positive, and in fact feel that some of the sequencing changes/edits make the albums like Zuma and On the Beach even stronger. I was already a fan of the Ditch Years, so anything added to make it better -- I'm all about it.
The
Dune album is a beefed up
Zuma. I mean, you add a killer electric, studio version of "Ride My Lllama", a stretched out "Powderfinger" and the definitive version of "Pocahontas" to that classic album and you have perfection. That disc also contains the original version of "Too Far Gone" which would later appear re-recorded on
Freedom, as well as electrified versions of "Kansas", which appeared on
Homegrown in acoustic form, and "Hawaii". It also contains the unreleased gem, "Born to Run." That disc alone is an embarrassment or riches.
