Know of a great band you think we'd like to hear about? Got some music news? Or just want to talk about music in general? Post it here.

My favorites are the ones where the artists try to do something different. The DBT one is pretty good, but basically identical to the studio versions.

Roadside Graves

I think that was the debut of "Liv Tyler," and the acoustic version of Far and Wide puts a different spin on it.

Constantines

Love this version of I Will Not Sing A Hateful Song.

Bon Iver:

ain't no static on the gospel radio

Check out the P. Hood & Screwtopians set - Belvedere fucking smokes and Back of a Bible is radically different from the album version. (More soulful/piano based)

AA Bondy
Centro-matic
Will Johnson
Avett Brothers

I was disappointed in the DBT set, especially Shonna's song, which is completely out of tune
And I knew when I woke up Rock N Roll would be here forever

So many, but this one from Theodore hit me the hardest:

http://www.daytrotter.com/dt/theodore-concert/20032259-3738169.html

Even though they're somewhat local (St. Louis, a couple of hours east), I'd never heard of them until they turned up on Daytrotter. I gave 'em a listen and immediately searched out their LP Hold You Like a Lover. It became a favorite from last year.
I implore all of you to go to their link and listen to the song "All I Ask."
Awesome stuff.

That'd be #4 on my list. Great stuff and if I ever get an extra dollar wanna go see them. They played a few shows at the Schlafly Brewery Tap Room.

I keep trying to make this word be Daytripper or Globetrotter. Never heard of this site, but I am going to check it out. Thanks 3DD people for continually broadening my horizons.

I've never listened to a single Daytrotter session, I'm just popping in here purely on the strength of seeing someone else besides myself mention Frontier Ruckus. I saw them last year with Samantha Crain (who is also on Ramseur Records) and loved them.
