Recognizing that there are Goliaths nowadays, people don't realize just who the Goliaths are.

But in olden days Goliath was slain, and everybody nowadays looks back and sees how cruel Goliath was.

Nowadays there are crueler Goliaths who do crueler and crueler things, but one day they're going to be slain, too.

And people are going to look back in two thousand years and say, 'Remember when Goliath the second was slain?'

Oh, here comes trouble
Put your helmet on, we'll be heading for a fall
Yeah, the whole thing's gonna blow

And the devil's got my number
It's long overdue, he'll come looking soon
Yeah, the whole thing's gonna blow

Oh, here comes trouble
These people talk too much, need to shut 'em up
Yeah, I'd rather be alone

Can you, can you feel that rumble?
All this borrowed time, it's been running out
It's the ending of the show

Everything's gonna be okay
Oh, I keep telling myself, "Don't worry, be happy"
Oh, you keep telling yourself, "Everything's gonna be okay"
Oh, I keep telling myself, "Don't worry, be happy"
Oh, you keep telling yourself, "Everything's gonna be okay"

This one got me through the day today
And I knew when I woke up Rock N Roll would be here forever

I'm troubled, I'm troubled
I'm troubled in mind
If trouble don't kill me
Lord I'll live a long time
Son, this ain't a dream no more, it's the real thing

And I'm gonna walk through the city square
with all this bear grease in my hair
Keep calm and have a cigar

It's a restless hungry feeling
That don't mean no one no good
When everything I'm sayin'
You can say it just as good
You are right from your side
I am right from mine
We're both just too one many mornings
And a thousand miles behind.
Son, this ain't a dream no more, it's the real thing

Snow can wait, I forgot my mittens
Wipe my nose, get my new boots on
I get a little warm in my heart when I think of winter
I put my hand in my father's glove

I run off where the drifts get deeper
Sleeping Beauty trips me with a frown
I hear your voice, "You must learn to stand up
For yourself, 'cause I can't always be around."

He says, "When you gonna make up your mind?
When you gonna love you as much as I do?
When you gonna make up your mind?
'Cause things are gonna change so fast.
All the white horses are still in bed.
I tell you that I'll always want you near
You say that "things change, my dear"

Abraham and Isaac sitting on a fence
You'd get right to work if you had any sense
You know the one thing we need is a left-hand monkey wrench.

Come to daddy on the inside straight,
Well I got no chance of losin' this time.

I'm not a flasher in a rain coat,
I'm not a dirty old man,
I'm not gonna snatch you from your mother,
I'm an art lover.
Come to daddy,
Ah, come to daddy,
Come to daddy.

Mama never seemed to miss the finer things in life
If she did, she never did say so to daddy
She never wanted to be more than mother and a wife
If she did, she never did say so to daddy...

Now you better do some thinkin' then you'll find
You got the only daddy that'll walk the line

I got my thrill behind the wheel upon my daddy's lap
Grandpa rode co-pilot with a flashlight and a map
Cane pole out the window, it was in the summertime
First time I heard Johnny Cash sing I walk the line

I keep a close watch on this heart of mine
I keep my eyes wide open all the time
I keep the ends out for the tie that binds
Because you're mine, I walk the line

There's a sweater wearin', coat totin', boot footin'
Good lookin' man on town
There's a smooth-talkin', funny walkin' dude around
There's a pretty girl and she sees him walkin'
Looking him up and down
She thinks she'd like to roll and rock him
Turn his life around
I keep it all together for the sake of the kids.

Old lady judges, watch people in pairs
Limited in sex, they dare
To push fake morals, insult and stare
While money doesn't talk, it swears
Obscenity, who really cares
Propaganda, all is phony.

While them that defend what they cannot see
With a killer's pride, security
It blows the minds most bitterly
For them that think death's honesty
Won't fall upon them naturally
Life sometimes
Must get lonely.

I never knew a man
could tell so many lies
He had a different story
for every set of eyes.
How can he remember
who he's talkin' to?
'Cause I know it ain't me,
and I hope it isn't you.

I can't believe life's so complex when I just wanna sit here and watch you undress
I can't believe life's so complex when I just wanna sit here and watch you undress
This is love, this is love that I'm feeling
Does it have to be a life full of dread? I wanna chase you round the table, I wanna touch your head
Does it have to be a life full of dread? I wanna chase you round the table, I wanna touch your head
This is love, this is love that I'm feeling
I can't believe that the axis turns on suffering
When you taste so good
I can't believe that the axis turns on suffering
While my head burns
This is love, this is love that I'm feeling
Even in the summer, even in the spring
You can never get too much of a wonderful thing

Who says there aren't protest songs in the 21st century?

This is why, why we fight
Why we lie awake
This is why, this is why we fight

And when we die, we will die with our arms unbound
This is why, this is why we fight
Come hell...
