Know of a great band you think we'd like to hear about? Got some music news? Or just want to talk about music in general? Post it here.

Fear is not so far from hate
So if you get the folks to fear
It only takes one small twist
To kick up a gear
Oh oh oh
And you can control hate
But only for so long
And when you lose control
Oh man
The things we do to each other
Don't hurt people, and don't take their stuff.

Like walking in the rain and the snow when there's no place to go...
Now it's dark.

Push me way out to the desert
Fence me in with rattlesnakes and whiskey
Let the outside air in

stupid dead kitty, you were so swell
you went to kitty heaven and left me in human hell

Thanks for the kind words, Clams and WWCD. Deaner was one of the greats. Guess I should take my grief to the pets thread, but I couldn't resist posting the lyrics from "Stupid Dead Kitty" here. Such a great song by such an underrated band (the Low Budgets)...and Clams, they're from Philly!

Heaven knows The Kid
and the things that he did
were wrong, but who is to blame?
It's as much his crime
as it is your's and mine
Shine a light in the dark
of Ghost Town, New York
And I knew when I woke up Rock N Roll would be here forever

Everybody's just waiting to hear from the one
Who can give them the answers
And lead them back to that place
In the warmth of the sun
Where sweet childhood still dances
Who'll come along
And hold out that strong
That gentle father's hand
Long ago I heard someone say
Something 'bout Everyman
Son, this ain't a dream no more, it's the real thing

I've been up
And down this highway
Far as my eyes can see
No matter how fast I run
I can never seem
To get away from me
No matter where I am
I can't help thinking
I'm just a day away
From where I want to be
Son, this ain't a dream no more, it's the real thing

Little lady, can't you see
You're so young and so much different than I
I'm 93, you're sixteen
Can't you see I'm goin' blind

And they're really, really nice.
The sooner we put those assholes in the grave&piss on the dirt above it, the better off we'll be

Are you lonely like I am?
Searching for beauty in futility?
Constantly connected disconnection.
The isolation is killing me.
Don't hurt people, and don't take their stuff.

And everyday on the evening news they feed you fear for free
And you so numb you watch the cops choke out a man like me
Until my voice goes from a shriek to whisper “I can’t breathe”
And I knew when I woke up Rock N Roll would be here forever

They say that patriotism is the last refuge to which a scoundrel clings.
Steal a little and they throw you in jail, steal a lot and they make you king

I remember humid nights
I remember how the full moon tugs
How it used to make us fight
And the language of the bugs
Let the outside air in

Go on go on and scream and cry
You're miles from where anyone will find you
This is nothing new, no television crew
They don't even put on the siren
