I heard this on XM's Deep Tracks channel the other day for the first time in what seems like forever. It made me wonder if it (both musically and thematically) served as any sort of inspiration for The Replacements' "Left of the Dial". By the way, if you decide to watch the video above, be sure to fast forward at least a good three minutes into it first as it takes them that long to finally kick into the song.

One of the highlights of last year for me was inadvertently sneaking into the Full Frame Festival in Durham to see Do It Again: One Man's Quest to Reunite the Kinks by Geoff Edgers. With one less Kink in the world his dream seems even less likely but hopefully the movie will finally see the light of day as a DVD release sometime this year. Last I read it was being edited down for DVD. Part of the premise of the movie is Edgers sitting down with several well known Kinks fans to jam with them on one song, in that respect the Sting segment nearly steals the movie. Definitely made me change my mind about how I feel about Sting and how he's portrayed by the media.
