Bobby Lloyd Hicks, drummer for the Skeletons and longtime drummer for Dave Alvin, passed away last week. Springfield, Missouri isn't really known as a hip place, but the Skeltons are about as cool as it gets. He was a great drummer and an equally great harmony singer. Some videos..Bobby Lloyd playing "Fourth of July" with Dave Alvin, smoking version of "Harper valley PTA" with Syd Straw and The Skeletons, and the Skeltons ripping through "Waiting For My Gin To Hit Me"..written by Springfield's Ronnie Self.

I often feel all that at once. It's a complicated world.
