Know of a great band you think we'd like to hear about? Got some music news? Or just want to talk about music in general? Post it here.

OK, if you've never seen Blow-Up, you need to.
Not only is there all that general '60s grooviness (and Jane Birkin), but it also has this weird bit where protagonist David Hemmings wanders into a nightclub where everyone stands around all zombified watching the Yardbirds do a rip-off of "Train Kept A-Rollin'" until Jeff Beck punks out (around 2:02) and smashes his guitar. Teen mayhem ensues.
You can also see Jimmy Page. (And check out the poster on the door at about 0:15.)

Methinks Zip lifted that clip from A Truer Sound. I'm telling you, everyone needs to check that blog at least twice a week.

Hey SR...did Uncle Tupelo know it was their last song? Was it a planned demise? Lots of talant on stage that night. I keep forgetting that the Bottle Rockets were another band arising from the ashes.

There is absolutely no doubt that they all knew it. More to come Blessed C. (good to see you here Mr. Nova Scotia). I'm working on a piece about them for AOTW. Stay tuned.

Here's some more:
