Artist/Feature of the Week Index

Know of a great band you think we'd like to hear about? Got some music news? Or just want to talk about music in general? Post it here.

I'd love to see someone do a feature on The Velvet Underground. Frenchie? Rev? Anyone?????

Since you requested I will send in a proposal. My article will not be about The Velvets but rather their legacy and influence. I am thinking of a history of bands, artists and genres influenced by The Velvets from The Modern Lovers, David Bowie and The Stooges through The Cowboy Junkies. I don't really want to get into the nineties because many of those bands show a heavy Velvets influene but in actuallity are influenced by bands that were influenced by The Velvets.
I have nowhere else to go. There is no demand in the priesthood for elderly drug addicts

Rev, not that I'm of anyone of any importance, but I accept your proposal. Legacy and influence of the Velvets, all yours, go for it.

I'm a huge fan of Billy Joe Shavor and would love to see someone who knows a lot more than me do a feature on him. If not you'll get my distorted Northeastern take on one of the greats in country music.

Bow Thayer & Perfect Tranwreck

Is a "Tranwreck" some kind of transvestite fashion disaster? A tranny in a car accident?

Correct spelling contained in the band name is: "Trainwreck"

Would it be possible to add the John Prine thread to the AOTW index?

Would someone be so kind as to add the 6 String Drag feature to the index? Thank you kindly.

I seem to recall that someone, possibly slipkid, did an AOTW on The Who? Am I making that up? If it's been done, can someone please find it (i can't) and add it to the index and if not, how is that possible?

Other than the furious, bloody Rock & Roll Cage Match from a few years back, I don't recall any features on The Who.

Yo, Zip! If you have 30 seconds to pull away from your Image with boyyourself, can you add GBV/Pollard to the index? Thanks.
