they are in .asx format which is a stream format and not very good at all. I would almost guarantee all the dbt is on the archive in flac and mp3.

While most of them are, I'm pretty certain there's a few that ain't, (especially Isbell solo shows) and that's why I linked to that. It is stream-only but you take what you can get.

Thanks for the look. My cousin called to tell me about this at the same time I was listening to AAW. When it rains it pours.

I recommend the one at Cooley's house on 12-29-03. Great acoustic and relaxed set.

Probably not since Cooley is not on the archive.

Would be great to see some new uploads other then the Megaupload ones that dont work anymore.

I was mildly concerned about having carelessly clicked on one of those links from work when searching out a Cooley fix last week. I know enough not to use torrents there* but I'd forgotten that Megaupload was shut down for the guilty and the innocent alike.

*my workplace is very liberal on miscellaneous internet usage as long as your work gets done but torrents are not cool

For you iPhone users, there's a new (and free) app called Free Music Archive that lets you stream anything on archive.org directly through your phone.

One of the best (if not the best) versions of Don't Be in Love Around Me I've ever heard. And AAW is my favorite album.

It then has a great rip through Steve McQueen, Uncle Frank and OOTD (sick version). Plus Keep on Smiling in the encore.

And thanks Clams! For someone who unfortunately found the Truckers late, archive.org gives me a "way" of being with them from the start. I can't tell you how many cool things I've picked up about the band, as well as Patterson's and Cooley's personalities, from listening to tons of early shows. You can also learn about the evolution of the music (i.e., how the intro from the Southern Thing has changed over the years). As well as how they would just lay their heart out in an obviously small venue on a random Wednesday night in East Bumblefuck over and over again.

Btw, the Savannah recording has one of the funniest things ever. Patterson gives a great summary of what SRO is about, and when he mentions Skynyrd, some guy yells out "never heard of 'em!"

Yes, "best" is subjective, but can anyone point me to the best live version of the slow Sands of Iwo Jima and the fast Goode's Field Road? Thanks

My favorite SoIJ is from (I think) one of the first TDU shows in Athens or possibly the Stephen Talkhouse show from the second leg of that tour.

Thanks to whoever recorded and posted the 28th Feb. Vicar St., Dublin show. The sound quality is excellent - definitely one the best audio quality recordings from the recent tour.
