SURVIVORS BACK IN THE SADDLE AGAIN!
Spent last week recording six more tracks to add to the crop of songs we did last year. Had a hiccup in our initial progress but, ultimately, that gave me the time and impetus to write some more songs so all worked out as it should, as I have found most things will if we just remain focused and patient…
Pleased to introduce our new bass player, Shonna Tucker, and welcome her into the fold. Go Survivors!
Stay tuned…
Love,
Pegi

Excellent news!
The sooner we put those assholes in the grave&piss on the dirt above it, the better off we'll be

That's very cool. Saw Pegi's band up-close-and-personal at a late-night show the first Lockn' and they were great. Managed to tell Spooner how much I loved his work on BTCD and the tour, and really enjoyed seeing the late Rick Rosas on bass (RIP). What a cool gig for Shonna - I wish her well.

...and everything else we find him on as well! Sheesh! - still finding stuff that I listen to that he is a part of in some way or another.

Re: Shonna's new band
It blew my mind when I found it was Spooner playing the mournful intro to Townes's "Flying Shoes"

Re: Shonna's new band
She seems like she's in a good place. Nice to see that.

Can't wait to see them live. It'll be the third band I've seen Spooner in.

Sad about Bridge
Re: Shonna's new band
That was a great show. Pegi Young put on a great show, much more uptempo than her latest album RAW although she played a number of songs off of it. She had three older albums too. Shonna played well, sang great back up vocals and looked good. The guitar player was great too. He could pick with the best. And of course seeing Spooner was special too. Catch them out on the road if you can. Well worth it.

I'm pretty sure Kelvin Holly is the touring guitar play. He's a Muscle Shoals staple...blackwll wrote:The guitar player was great too. He could pick with the best. And of course seeing Spooner was special too. Catch them out on the road if you can. Well worth it.

Yep. It is Kelvin. He is the guitarist in The Decoys (which also features David Hood on bass).zoid wrote:I'm pretty sure Kelvin Holly is the touring guitar play. He was Little Richard's guitarist forever. Along with the Amazing Rhythm Aces.
The dude can play and is a total pro.
I can't dance a lick but sometimes I can flat rock and roll
